Lessons Beyond the Farm
Throughout my career, I was known as someone others could depend on, whether that meant helping guests, supporting my team, or working holidays so coworkers with young families could spend that time together. Those experiences reinforced something I still believe today: trust isn’t something you ask for—it’s something you earn. That same philosophy guides every Roll Tails booking.
While your pets are in my care, my hope is to earn not only their trust, but yours as well.
Why Roll Tails Exists
When I decided to start Roll Tails, I knew I wanted to focus on overnight, in-home pet sitting. For me, it wasn’t just about offering a service—it was about choosing the type of care I truly believe is best for most pets.
Pets thrive on familiarity. Staying in their own home allows them to keep the routines they’re comfortable with, sleep in their own bed, enjoy familiar surroundings, and experience less disruption while their family is away. My role is to step into their routine—not replace it.
Choosing overnight care also allows me to spend meaningful time with your pets rather than stopping by for a few short visits each day. That extra time helps me get to know their personalities, notice subtle changes in their behaviour, and recognize when something doesn’t seem quite right. It’s the same thoughtful, observant approach I learned growing up on the farm, and it’s one of the reasons I believe overnight care provides both pets and their families with greater peace of mind.
For me, great pet care isn’t measured by how many tasks are completed—it’s measured by how comfortable and secure your pets feel while you’re away.
My Approach
Every pet has its own personality, routine, and way of communicating. That’s why I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to pet care. My goal is to learn what makes your pet feel safe, comfortable, and happy, then provide care that fits naturally into the routine they’ve always known.
Before every first booking, we’ll meet in your home to discuss your pet’s daily routine, preferences, and any special care they may need. Throughout your time away, I’ll keep you updated with regular messages and photos so you can relax knowing your pets are happy and well cared for.
Just as importantly, I believe trust extends beyond your pets. When you invite me into your home, you’re trusting me with something incredibly personal. I treat every home with the same care, respect, and professionalism I would expect if someone were caring for my own.
